Apple (AAPL) shares closed yesterday at exactly $60. It took a beating yesterday, falling $1.66 or 2.69%. Some of the new MacBooks may overheat, Apple admits.

General Electric (GE) closed at $34.22 a share yesterday. It lost 44 cents or 1.27%. Employees at four NBC Universal stations have authorized a strike.

Time Warner (TWX) shares closed at $17.50 yesterday. It held up relatively well in the sell-off, falling 8 cents, or .46%. Apparently still no takers for AOL's U.K. operations. U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse says it's not interested.

Wal-Mart (WMT) closed at $47.19 yesterday, a drop of 64 cents or 1.34%. Norway won't buy Wal-Mart stock for its oil-funded pension fund due to ethical reasons.
